Abstract

ABSTRAK This research is motivated by Abi’s restraint on his only child, Amalia. The main character is Amalia in the novel entitiledAssalamualaikumCalon Abi by ArtharPuspita.The type of research used in this research is a quqlitative research method.The qualitative descriptive method is a method that is defined as a problem solving proces that is investigated is a method that is defined as a problem or of the subject or object of reseach. (Novels, dramas, short stories, and poetry).The data in this research is in the form of verbs in the form of words, phrases or sentences. The data used in this resech are words and actions related to the character the characher Amalia’s personalitisly. Based on a psychologicalreview of literature from Carl Gustav Jung’s theory whics includes the ego. Personal unconscionusness and collective unconscionusness in the novel AssalamualaikumCalon Abi by ArtharPuspita.The date collection method used in this research is the method of listening and taking notes research was carried out in stages (1) Reading the entire text of the novel.(2) Obsevations of the content and story of the novel AssalamualaikumCalon Abi by ArtharPuspita which relates to the personality of the character Amalia.(3)Researchers classifiedthe date according to the problem, namely data relating to the character Amalia. Reviewed from the personality of Carl Gustav Jung. Which includes ego, personal unconscions, and collective unconsidered relevant. Keywords: Character Personality, Novel. Metodepengumpulan data yang digunakandalampenelitianiniadalahmetodesimak dan catatmengenaiinformasi yang didapatdari novel tersebut proses pengumpulan data yang digunakandalampenelitianinidilakukanmelaluitahapan (1) Membacakeseluruhanteks novel AssalamualaikumCalon AbikaryaArtharPuspitasecaraberulang-ulang agar memahamiisi novel tersebut. (2) Observasiterhadapisi dan ceritadari novel AssalamualaikumCalon AbikaryaArtharPuspita yang berkaitandengankepribadiantokoh Amalia. (3) Penelitimengklasifikasikan data sesuaidenganpermasalahan, yaitu data yang berkaitandengantokohAmalia.ditinjaudarikepribadian Carl Gustav Jung, yang meliputi ego, ketidaksadaran personal, dan ketidaksadarankolektif.(4) Membaca dan memahamibukubukurefensi yang dianggaprelevan.
