Abstract

Abstrak: Pelafalan adalah cara bagaimana melafalkan suatu kata atau kalimat sehingga pendengar dapat dengan mudah merespon apa yang sedang di katakan. Peneliti menemukan permasalahan pada cara pelafalan bahasa inggris siswa, dengan demikian peneliti menggunakan english cartoon movie untuk mengatasi permasalah pelafalan siswa. English Cartoon Movie adalah tontonan bagi anak-anak sampai usia remaja yang dapat menjadi sumber pembelajaran bagi siswa dalam belajar pelafalan. Penelitian ini membahas tentang bagaimana cara mengatasi pelafalan siswa menggunakan media English Cartoon Movie. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan instrumen penelitian berupa observasi, dokumentasi, interview pada 5 dari 20 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa English Cartoon Movie dapat mengatasi permasalahan pelafalan pada siswa kelas VII SMP Sa’idiyah dengan penjabaran sebagai berikut: hasil interview menunjukkan bahwa siswa mendapatkan adanya peningkatan dalam pelafalan mereka dan mendapatkan kata baru dalam bahasa inggris. Metode ini juga praktis dan dapat mereka akses dimanapun dan kapanpun siswa ingin belajar. Dalam mengguanakn metode ini siswa di haruskan memperhatikan apa yang mereka tonton, agar siswa dapat memperoleh hasil dari penggunaan metode ini. Temuan penelitian, Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui proses metode pembelajaran mengatasi pengucapan siswa menggunakan avatar kartun The Legend Of Corra Book One. Sedangkan untuk peningkatan siswa terdapat dari cara belajar siswa yang lebih antusias, siswa dapat menirukan beberapa pengucapan yang didengar dari kartun movie dan hampir dapat menyamai pengucapan yang ditirunya. Kata Kunci: pelafalan, cartoon movie, metode. Abstract: Pronunciation is a way of pronouncing a word or sentence so that listeners can easily respond to what is being said. Researchers found problems with students' English pronunciation, so researchers used English cartoon movies to overcome students' pronunciation problems. English Cartoon Movie is a spectacle for children up to teenagers which can be a learning resource for students in learning pronunciation. This study discusses how to overcome students' pronunciation using English Cartoon Movie media. This research uses qualitative methods with research instruments in the form of observation, documentation, and interviews with 5 out of 20 students. The results of this research show that English Cartoon Movie can overcome the pronunciation problems of class VII students at Sa'idiyah Middle School with the following explanation: the results of the interview show that students have improved their pronunciation and acquired new words in English. This method is also practical and they can access wherever and whenever students want to study. When using this method, students are required to pay attention to what they are watching, so that students can get results from using this method. Research findings, This research was conducted to determine the process of learning methods to overcome students' pronunciation using the cartoon avatar The Legend Of Corra Book One. Meanwhile, to improve students, there is a more enthusiastic way of learning for students, students can imitate some of the pronunciations they hear from cartoon pictures and can almost match the pronunciations they imitate.
