Advisors: (I) Moh Hafidz, M.Pd, (II) Iin Rachmawati, M.Hum. Keywords: Speaking skill, Role play method, Teaching speaking. Communication is the most important thing in socializing, many people learn to understand other people's language just because of their interest in communicating. Not far from the English language which is much interested in and studied especially today's millennial children. English has many benefits besides being an international language, many young people want to master English to make them feel cool or even to fulfil their demanding job needs. It’s really needed to make it easier for us to communicate and socialize. In this research Role play is an effective method to help improve students' understanding and pronunciation of speaking in English, with this method students find it easy to understand and able to answer questions about how to answer so that students' imaginations can be expressed using English, so that the character of these students can be seen by us. Look Role playing also has a positive impact because it can give students space for free imagination and easily understand how words should be expressed using English, if the vocabulary is sufficient then it can make these students creative in composing their utterances.
