Abstract

This study examines the Representation of Madurese Women in Muna Masari's Damar Kambang Novel. This study has three problem formulations, namely, the image of Madurese women in the family, the image of Madurese women in society, the ideological image of Madurese women. This study uses a literary analysis approach with a focus on the characteristics of Madurese women and the way the authors describe their roles, attitudes, and the conflicts they face. The results of the analysis show that this novel depicts Madurese women with complexities that reflect their traditional roles and social development. These characters have a strong role in the family and society, but also face internal and external conflicts that affect their personal growth. The author carefully describes the dynamics of Madurese culture through these women, presenting a deep representation of Madurese women in various life contexts.
