Abstract

Mushaddaq. 2018.Sara Mills Discourse Analysis on "Pelakor" Discourse in Online Media Detik.com and Tribunnews.com. Indonesian Education Department. STKIP PGRI Bangkalan. Keywords:Discourse, News Media discourse was an impartial media, it tend to display certain actors as subjects that defined certain events or groups in news discourses that affected meaning when accepted by the public. That position was a part of the text element, in the sense that those who had the opportunity to defined reality that will display other events or groups into certain forms of discourse structure when presented to the public. This research aimed to determine the position of the subject-object and the position of the writer-reader in the news discourse about the actors that existed on the online media of detik.com and tribunnews.com used the Sara Mills model discourse analysis theory. To achieved this goal, questions were found about how the subject-object position and the position of the writer-reader about the perpetrator's news on the online media of detik.com and tribunnews.com. The approach used in this research was a qualitative approach with content analysis. Data collection method used was documentation method with note-taking technique. Data sources and the subject of this research were news about actors at detik.com and tribunnews.com. The results of this research showed how one party, group, person, idea and event were displayed in a certain way and marginalized in the news about the perpetrators at detik.com and tribunnews.com. The position of the subject (narrator) tend to be dominated by the female Nila who was accused of being the actor, while Ovie the woman who had accused Indigo as the actor tend to be portrayed as an object (told). While the author positions as Nila who was giving information to the journalists, so the news text that appeared direct the reader to interpret the text fromNila’spoint of view. The position of the reader who cannot interfere with the form of news discourse issued by detik.com and tribunnews.com contained in this research that said the position of the subject was something that cannot be changed and the reader cannot argue if there was a discrepancy.
