Abstract

OSIS is the sole official organization in the school and has also been recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. Student organizations are one aspect that must exist in a school, because in these organizations students can develop the abilities and talents that exist within the students. OSIS or student organization is an organization that is at the level of every school in Indonesia, starting from middle school (SMP) and also high school (SMA) and vocational high school (SMK), OSIS is managed or managed by the students who are elected as administrators in the student council organization. The aim of the research is to describe how the student council activities and how the student council strives in the process of forming students' leadership character. The research method that the researcher carried out was descriptive qualitative, namely by describing the data collected. The results of this research show that the role of the OSIS in shaping students' leadership character is very effective by training students to be able to speak in public by holding meetings between classes.
