Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of using Wattpad application in teaching writing skills at Vocational High School (SMK) 1 Blega. The experimental method was used in this study, involving two groups of students: an experimental group that used the Wattpad application as a learning tool and a control group that used conventional methods. Data were collected through writing tests before and after the intervention, as well as questionnaires measuring students' motivation and interest in writing. The results showed that students who learned with the Wattpad app experienced significant improvement in writing skills compared to the control group. In addition, the use of Wattpad also increased students' motivation and interest in writing. This study concludes that the Wattpad app is an effective and innovative tool for teaching writing skills in a vocational education environment.
