Abstract

Abstract This research aims to describe the Transfer of Wahana novel Hati Suhita by Khilma Anis into the film Hati Suhita directed by Archie Hekagery. The results of this research show that literary works not only appear textually in the form of novels, but have transcended textual boundaries. The transfer of novels to other media, namely films, goes beyond textual boundaries, which is called Transfer Wahana. With this Transfer of Vehicles, slight changes occurred in the Ecranization process, such as reducing the story but not eliminating the essence of the story. This reduction can be done on plot, background, and even shrinkage. In the novel Hati Suhita by Khilma Anis, there is a change in the storyline with the film entitled Hati Suhita, directed by Archie Hekagery. This was not done without reason, one of which was the addition in terms of film. This is to provide an attraction for the audience from a film perspective. This is also a natural thing to do, because of its different form. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature. Key Words: Reduction, Change of Plot, Change of Setting
