Abstract

ABSTRACT Postmodernist literature, especially in novels, involves the author's imagination with the world- of-the-world sketches and is involved in construction. It's relevant to the intermingling of the universe in postmodern fiction. This research aims to describe the world-world and construction in the novel Number of Fu by Ayu Utami using the postmodern theory of Brian McHale. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive research approach. Source data in this study is the novel Number Fu by Ayu Utami. The essence of this study finds sub-sections with the following details: first are (1) Worlds that contain (a) Colliding Worlds, (b) Worlds on the Side containing (i) The World On the Side of Doubts, (ii) the World On The Side of Banality, and (iii) Th e world on the side of Opposition. (c) Real, compared to what? which contains (i) limited realem, (ii) apocryphal history, (iii) creative anachronism, and (iv) historical fantasy. (2) Constructions that contain (a) Worlds in Elimination and (b) Chinese Box Worlds. The results of this research describe the worlds and the construction of the novel Fu Number by Ayu Utami. In the Worlds divided into three sub disciplines and the Construction are divided in two sub -descriptions as described above. The conclusion of this research is that the existence of the Worlds in the novel Number Fu forms the ontological plurality and gives rise to the acceptance of the new world as a form of experience or World By Banality. Keywords: Postmodernism, Worlds, Construction ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Dunia-Dunia dan Konstruksi dalam novel Bilangan Fu karya Ayu Utami dengan menggunakan teori postmodernime Brian McHale. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini novel Bilangan Fu karya Ayu Utami.Esensi dari penelitian ini menemukan sub bagian dengan rincian sebagai berikut: pertama adalah (1) Dunia-Dunia 2 yang berisi (a) Dunia Bertabrakan, (b) Dunia Di Sebelah yang berisi (i) Dunia Di Sebelah Keraguan, (ii) Dunia Di Sebelah Banalita, dan (iii) Dunia Sebelah Perlawanan. (c) Nyata, Dibandingkan Dengan Apa? yang berisi (i) Realem yang Dibatasi, (ii) Sejarah Apokrif, (iii) Anakronisme Kreatif, dan (iv) Fantasi Sejarah. (2) Konstruksi yang berisi (a) Dunia Dunia Dalam Penghapusan, dan (b) Dunia-Dunia Kotak Cina. Hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan tentang Dunia-Dunia dan Konstruksi terhadap novel Bilangan Fu karya Ayu Utami. Dalam Dunia-Dunia yang dibagi dalam 3 sub pembahasan dan Konstruksi dibagi 2 sub pembahasan seperti penjabaran di atas. Simpulan dari penelitian ini, adanya Dunia-Dunia dalam novel Bilangan Fu yang membentuk pluraritas ontologis dan memunculkan keberterimaan dunia baru sebagai bentuk pengalaman atau Dunia Di Sebelah Banalita. Sedangkan dalam Konstruksi adanya Dunia-Dunia Di Bawah Penghapusan yang memunculkan rubrik ambiguitas, keadaan warna-warni, dan penghapusan peristiwa.
