Abstract

Subir, 2023. Analysis of the Influence of Location, Price, Facilities, Security and Additional Costs on Student Decisions in Choosing a Boarding House for “STKIP PGRI BANGKALAN STUDENTS. Thesis for the economics education study program STKIP PGRI Bangkalan. Advisor (I) Dr. Manah Tarman, M.Sc. supervisor (II) Aulia Dawam, S.E,MA. Keywords: Location, Price, Facilities, Security and Additional costs, Student decision to choose a boarding house. This research is a quantitative study. The data used are primary data, which were obtained from distributing questionnaires to STKIP PGRI BANGKALAN students who made the decision to choose a boarding house. The sampling technique used was the snowball sampling method, with a total sample of 30 respondents, namely STKIP PGRI BANGKALAN students who are still active in college. The variables used in this study are independent variables consisting of location, price, facilities, security and additional costs. While the student's decision in choosing a boarding house as the dependent variable. The statistical test uses the Classical Assumption Test, Multiple Linear Regression Test and Hypothesis Test. The results of this study show the results of partial regression analysis with a significant level of 0.05. The t test shows that the significance value of the t test for Location Variable (X1) is 0.009 <0.05 and the tcount value is 2.892 <ttable 1.697 so it can be concluded that the location variable has a positive effect on the decision to choose a boarding house (Y). The results of the Price Variable test (X2) were 0.779 <0.05 and the results of the tcount test were 0.284 <ttable 1.697, meaning that there was no effect of price on the decision to choose a boarding house (Y). The test results for the facility variable (X3) are 0.007 <0.05 and the tcount test results are 2.938 <ttable 1.697, meaning that there is an influence of facilities on the decision to choose boarding houses (Y). The safety variable test results (X4) are 0.966 <0.05 and the tcount test results are 0.043 > ttable 1.697, meaning that there is no price effect on the decision to choose a boarding house (Y). Meanwhile, the test results for the Additional Cost Variable (X5) are 0.150 <0.05 and the ttest results are 0.142 > ttable 1.697, meaning that there is no price effect on the decision to choose a boarding house ( Y).
