Abstract

Uyun, Qurrotul. 2023. The effect of the Quizizz method on the motivation and understanding of Mathematics in class V UPTD SDN Pejagan 1 Bangkalan. Thesis for Elementary School Teacher Study Program, STKIP PGRI Bangkalan. Supervisors: (I) Siska Pratiwi, M.Pd, and (II) Miranti Widi Andriani M.Pd Keywords: Quizizz, motivation, understanding. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the Quizizz method on students' motivation in learning mathematics in fifth grade at UPTD SDN Pejagan 1 Bangkalan and to determine the effect of applying the Quizizz method on students' understanding of fifth grade mathematics learning at UPTD SDN Pejagan 1 Bangkalan. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research. The number of subjects in this study were 33 students of class V UPTD SDN Pejagan 1 Bangkalan. By using the method of data collection test questions and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used in this study are the validity test, reliability test, normality test, t test, and the Manova test. With the results of the t test on the Paired samples test in the significance column of 0.000 with a smaller value when compared to 0.05 based on the results of the analysis it can be interpreted that the pretest and posttest values have changed significantly (meaning). Furthermore, the Manova Test results show a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 (H0 is rejected) so that it can be concluded that there are differences in students' motivation and understanding of mathematics between using Quizizz and not. This can be proven by the results of the pretest and posttest, so the independent variable (Quizzizz method) has an effect significant to the dependent variable (motivation and understanding). So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Quizizz method on the motivation and understanding of mathematics in class V UPTD SDN Pejagan 1 Bangkalan.
